Description

This Basil Garlic Aioli is rich, creamy, and full of bold flavor thanks to fresh basil, garlic, and lemon juice. It’s a quick and easy condiment that pairs perfectly with sandwiches, burgers, roasted veggies, or fries. Just blend and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 small garlic clove, minced or grated

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, packed

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (fresh is best)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons olive oil for a silkier texture

Instructions

  • Add mayonnaise, garlic, basil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper to a food processor or blender.

  • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed. Add olive oil if desired for a looser consistency.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt, lemon, or basil to your liking.

  • Transfer to a jar or airtight container. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes for best flavor.

Notes

  • Keeps in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, let it sit longer or use raw garlic; for a milder version, roast the garlic first.

  • Try it as a dip for fries, artichokes, or raw veggies, or spread it on grilled chicken sandwiches or wraps.
