Description

This Banana Split Fluff is a creamy, fruity, and indulgent dessert salad inspired by the classic banana split. With a mix of bananas, pineapple, strawberries, and a fluffy whipped topping, it’s perfect for potlucks, summer gatherings, or anytime you want a no-bake sweet treat!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, halved (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Creamy Base:

    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the Whipped Topping:

    • Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. Combine the Fruits and Marshmallows:

    • Gently fold in the mini marshmallows, drained pineapple, sliced bananas, diced strawberries, chopped nuts (if using), and halved maraschino cherries.
  4. Chill:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the fluff to set.
  5. Serve:

    • Scoop the Banana Split Fluff into a serving bowl and garnish with additional maraschino cherries, nuts, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.

Notes

  • To prevent the bananas from browning, toss them in a bit of lemon juice before adding to the fluff.
  • Substitute fresh strawberries with frozen (thawed and drained) if needed.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
