Description

These Banana Pudding Shots are a fun and boozy twist on the classic Southern dessert! Creamy, sweet, and spiked with a little rum or vodka, they’re served in mini cups and topped with whipped cream and crushed Nilla wafers—perfect for parties, game days, or girls’ night in.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix

  • 3/4 cup cold milk

  • 1/2 cup vanilla vodka or spiced rum

  • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1/2 cup crushed Nilla wafers (plus more for topping)

  • 1 banana, sliced (optional, for garnish)

  • Whipped cream, for topping

  • 12-14 plastic shot cups

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).

  2. Add the vodka or rum and whisk until fully combined.

  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.

  4. Stir in crushed Nilla wafers.

  5. Spoon or pipe the pudding mixture evenly into shot cups.

  6. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set.

  7. Before serving, top each shot with whipped cream, more crushed Nilla wafers, and a banana slice if using.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, skip the booze and use an extra ½ cup milk.

  • Make ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours—just add toppings right before serving.

  • You can swap banana liqueur for an extra punch of flavor!
