Description

Perfectly baked sweet potatoes with a soft, fluffy interior and naturally sweet flavor — a healthy and easy side dish or light meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a towel.
  3. Prick each sweet potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape while baking.
  4. Rub each sweet potato lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until they are tender inside (a knife should slide in easily).
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut open and fluff the insides with a fork.
  8. Serve as is, or add your favorite toppings such as butter, cinnamon, Greek yogurt, or chopped herbs.

Notes

  • Leftover baked sweet potatoes can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Try them stuffed with beans, cheese, or sautéed veggies for a complete meal.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle with a bit of maple syrup or honey before serving.
