Description
Perfectly baked sweet potatoes with a soft, fluffy interior and naturally sweet flavor — a healthy and easy side dish or light meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Prick each sweet potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape while baking.
- Rub each sweet potato lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until they are tender inside (a knife should slide in easily).
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut open and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Serve as is, or add your favorite toppings such as butter, cinnamon, Greek yogurt, or chopped herbs.
Notes
- Leftover baked sweet potatoes can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Try them stuffed with beans, cheese, or sautéed veggies for a complete meal.
- For extra flavor, drizzle with a bit of maple syrup or honey before serving.
