- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1 French baguette or 6 slices sandwich bread, cut into pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, sesame oil, salt, pepper, chili flakes (if using), and shredded cheese until well combined.
- Brush bread slices lightly with melted butter.
- Spoon and spread the shrimp mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
- Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and bubbly and shrimp is cooked through.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm, optionally garnished with more green onions or sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use a food processor to finely chop shrimp quickly.
- Add a dash of soy sauce or sriracha for extra flavor.
- Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in a toaster oven.
