Description

Baked Shrimp Toast is a crispy, creamy appetizer featuring a flavorful shrimp mixture spread over bread slices and baked until golden. It’s perfect for parties, game day, or a quick seafood snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 French baguette or 6 slices sandwich bread, cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, sesame oil, salt, pepper, chili flakes (if using), and shredded cheese until well combined.
  3. Brush bread slices lightly with melted butter.
  4. Spoon and spread the shrimp mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
  5. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and bubbly and shrimp is cooked through.
  6. Let cool slightly, then serve warm, optionally garnished with more green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Use a food processor to finely chop shrimp quickly.
  • Add a dash of soy sauce or sriracha for extra flavor.
  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in a toaster oven.
