Description

Baked Salmon with Lemon Butter Cream Sauce is a rich and elegant seafood dish featuring tender, flaky salmon fillets topped with a silky, zesty lemon butter sauce—perfect for a restaurant-quality dinner at home.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or white wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry, then season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them skin-side down in the baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream, chicken broth (or wine), lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir and let simmer for 3–5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  6. Remove salmon from the oven and spoon the warm lemon butter cream sauce over the fillets.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes.
  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
