Description

This simple yet flavorful baked salmon is tender, flaky, and perfectly seasoned. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s a healthy and delicious option for weeknight dinners or special occasions. Pair it with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin on or off)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges and chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Make the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Season the salmon: Brush the marinade evenly over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat the tops and sides.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For a crispy top, broil the salmon for 2–3 minutes at the end of the baking time.
  • If using frozen salmon, ensure it’s fully thawed and patted dry before baking.
  • Customize the flavors by adding chili flakes for heat or honey for sweetness.
