Description

Baked Ham and Cheese Mozzarella Sticks are a delicious twist on the classic snack, combining savory ham and gooey mozzarella cheese wrapped in crispy golden crusts, perfect for party appetizers or quick bites.


Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 12 slices of deli ham
  • 12 egg roll wrappers or wonton wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing
  • Marinara or ranch dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. If using, spread a small amount of Dijon mustard onto each ham slice.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella stick in a slice of ham.
  4. Place the ham-wrapped cheese diagonally on an egg roll wrapper.
  5. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a mixture of beaten egg and water.
  6. Place the sticks seam-side down on the baking sheet. Lightly spray or brush with oil.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy, turning once halfway through for even browning.
  8. Cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Freeze wrapped sticks before baking for 10-15 minutes to prevent cheese from oozing out.
