These Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, baked to crispy perfection and tossed with savory garlic and Parmesan. Perfect as a side dish or snack, they’re easy to make and incredibly satisfying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Soak for at least 30 minutes (this removes starch for extra crispy fries).
    • Drain and pat the fries completely dry with paper towels.
  • Season the Fries:

    • In a clean bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano until evenly coated.
  • Bake the Fries:

    • Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they don’t overlap. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Add Parmesan:

    • Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Toss gently on the baking sheet to coat.
  • Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Extra Crispiness: To make fries extra crispy, bake on a wire rack set over the baking sheet.
  • Variations: Try adding a sprinkle of paprika or chili powder for a bit of spice.
