- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Cook the spaghetti
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain, toss with olive oil, and set aside.
2. Prepare the meat sauce
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Make the creamy cheese mixture
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, ricotta (or cottage cheese), and half of the Parmesan cheese until smooth.
4. Assemble the casserole
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer half of the cooked spaghetti on top of the sauce. Spread the creamy cheese mixture evenly over the spaghetti.
- Add the remaining spaghetti on top of the cheese layer, followed by the rest of the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
5. Bake
- Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Serve
- Let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
