Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:
    • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • For the Brownie Layer:
    • 1 batch of brownies (homemade or store-bought), cut into small cubes
  • For the Whipped Cream Layer:
    • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
    • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional Garnishes:
    • Chocolate shavings or curls
    • Mini chocolate chips
    • Cocoa powder for dusting
    • Chocolate syrup drizzle

Instructions

  1. Make the Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the Baileys Irish Cream and cocoa powder, and mix until well combined. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Whipped Cream:
In a clean mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the Trifle:
In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, start by adding a layer of brownie cubes at the bottom. Top with a layer of the Baileys chocolate cheesecake mixture, followed by a layer of whipped cream. Repeat these layers until the trifle dish is filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle the top layer with chocolate shavings, mini chocolate chips, or a dusting of cocoa powder for a decorative touch. You can also drizzle chocolate syrup on top. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, you can substitute Baileys Irish Cream with 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup or 1/4 cup of milk mixed with a splash of vanilla extract.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for garnishing to add extra richness to each bite.
