A soft sugar cookie crust is topped with a sweet cream cheese frosting and fresh fruit arranged like the American flag. It’s easy to make, refreshing, and always a crowd favorite!

For the Sugar Cookie Crust:
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Fruit Topping (Flag Design):
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
- 2 bananas, sliced
Instructions
Make the Cookie Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter & sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
- Add egg & vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Bake: Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
Make the Frosting:
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until creamy.
Assemble the Flag Design:
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
- Add blueberries in the top-left corner to represent the stars.
- Create red and white stripes by arranging rows of strawberries and banana slices across the rest of the pizza.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy!
Notes
- Prevent Bananas from Browning: Toss banana slices in a little lemon juice to keep them fresh.
- Make Ahead: The cookie crust can be baked a day in advance. Assemble just before serving.
- Alternative Crust: Use a store-bought sugar cookie dough to save time!
