Description

Alabama white BBQ sauce is a tangy, creamy twist on traditional BBQ sauce. Made with mayo, vinegar, and a kick of horseradish, it’s a Southern favorite that pairs especially well with smoked or grilled chicken. It also works great as a dipping sauce, marinade, or sandwich spread!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish (not creamy)

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Mix the sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth and well combined.

  2. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

  3. Serve: Use as a dipping sauce, drizzle over smoked or grilled meats, or use as a marinade.

Notes

  • Adjust horseradish and cayenne to control the heat level.

  • Sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to 1 week in a sealed container.

  • For a thinner sauce, stir in a splash of water or extra vinegar.
