Description

Air Fryer Tacos are a quick and crispy twist on traditional tacos, with seasoned meat and melted cheese wrapped in tortillas and air fried to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground meat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water, stir, and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spoon seasoned meat and shredded cheese onto one half of each tortilla. Fold over to close.
  5. Lightly spray both sides of the folded tacos with cooking spray.
  6. Place tacos in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
  7. Air fry for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  8. Serve hot with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Secure tacos with toothpicks if needed to keep them closed while cooking.
  • Use leftover shredded chicken or beans for a vegetarian version.
  • Warm tortillas briefly before assembling to prevent cracking.
