Description

This Air Fryer Shrimp recipe is juicy, crispy, and ready in under 15 minutes! Perfect for a light dinner, appetizer, or topping for salads and tacos, it’s seasoned with simple spices and cooked to perfection without extra oil.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
  • Fresh lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3 minutes.

  2. Season the Shrimp:
In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using) until evenly coated.

  3. Cook the Shrimp:
Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches). Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

  4. Serve:
Remove from the air fryer and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen shrimp if needed—just thaw and pat dry before seasoning.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or inside tacos for a full meal.
  • For a garlic butter version, toss the shrimp in melted butter and minced garlic before serving.
