- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (butterflied and cut in half)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp water
- Cooking spray or olive oil

Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes.

Prepare the Chicken:
- If needed, pound chicken to an even thickness for even cooking.
- In one shallow bowl, whisk together egg and water.
- In another bowl, mix Parmesan, panko, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Coat the Chicken:
- Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then coat with the Parmesan-panko mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

Air Fry the Chicken:
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place chicken pieces in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
- Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray or brush with a little olive oil.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Notes
