Units
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20–30 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, spacing pieces slightly apart for even cooking.
- Place skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken is cooked through and lightly charred.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve hot with lemon wedges or dipping sauce.
Notes
- Add chopped bell peppers or red onions to skewers for color and variety.
- Use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
- Pair with rice, salad, or pita for a complete meal.
