Description

Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers are zesty, juicy, and perfectly charred. This quick and healthy dish is ideal for weeknight dinners or summer-inspired meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20–30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, spacing pieces slightly apart for even cooking.
  6. Place skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken is cooked through and lightly charred.
  7. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve hot with lemon wedges or dipping sauce.

  • Add chopped bell peppers or red onions to skewers for color and variety.
  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • Pair with rice, salad, or pita for a complete meal.
