Description

Air Fryer Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp is a quick and flavorful twist on the island favorite. Juicy shrimp are coated in a garlicky butter sauce and cooked to perfection in the air fryer, making it a fast and delicious meal or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter mixture.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  5. Remove and serve hot with lemon wedges and garnish with parsley or green onions.

Notes

  • For extra crispy shrimp, add a light sprinkle of panko breadcrumbs before air frying.
  • Serve with steamed rice or salad for a complete meal.
  • Use fresh garlic for the most authentic Hawaiian flavor.
