Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340g) fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for a slight smoky touch)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for a cheesy finish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Green Beans
- Wash and trim the ends of the green beans.
- Pat them completely dry with a paper towel to help them crisp up.
Step 2: Season the Green Beans
- In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- If using, sprinkle with red pepper flakes for heat.
Step 3: Air Fry the Green Beans
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 2 minutes. (If your air fryer doesn’t require preheating, you can skip this step.)
- Spread the seasoned green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 7-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender and crispy on the edges.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
- Remove the green beans and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce (ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy mayo).
Notes
- Extra Crispy? Cook for an extra 1-2 minutes, but watch closely to prevent burning.
- Dipping Sauce Ideas: Serve with honey mustard, ranch, or tzatziki for a fun twist!
- Low-Carb/Keto Option: Skip the paprika and add grated Parmesan before air frying for a cheesy, crispy coating.
- Make It Spicy: Add ½ tsp cayenne pepper for extra heat!
