Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Wash and peel the potatoes (optional). Slice them into thin strips, about ¼-inch thick, for even cooking.
    • Soak the potato strips in cold water for 15-20 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Season the Fries:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Toss the potato strips in the mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Cook the Fries:
    • Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
    • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Add Parmesan and Serve:
    • Immediately toss the hot fries with grated Parmesan cheese. Add fresh parsley for garnish if desired. Serve warm.

  • For extra crispiness, dry the potatoes thoroughly after soaking.
  • Adjust seasoning to your taste—feel free to add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick or garlic powder for a more intense garlic flavor.
