Scale
- 3 medium russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1/4 cup (25g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash and peel the potatoes (optional). Slice them into thin strips, about ¼-inch thick, for even cooking.
- Soak the potato strips in cold water for 15-20 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Season the Fries:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using). Toss the potato strips in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Cook the Fries:
- Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Add Parmesan and Serve:
- Immediately toss the hot fries with grated Parmesan cheese. Add fresh parsley for garnish if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, dry the potatoes thoroughly after soaking.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste—feel free to add cayenne pepper for a spicy kick or garlic powder for a more intense garlic flavor.
- Leftover fries can be reheated in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 375°F to restore crispiness.
