Description

These light and fluffy Air Fryer Donuts are a quick and healthier alternative to traditional fried donuts. Made with refrigerated biscuit dough and a simple sugar glaze, these donuts are ready in minutes and perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Donuts:

  • 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Toppings:

  • Sprinkles, chocolate chips, or cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Donuts:

    • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
    • Use a small round cutter (or the cap of a bottle) to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit to form a donut shape. Save the holes to make donut holes!
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Air Fry the Donuts:

    • Lightly brush the donuts with melted butter on both sides.
    • Arrange the donuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
    • Air fry at 350°F for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
    • Repeat with the donut holes, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Make the Glaze:

    • In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or sugar as needed.
  5. Glaze the Donuts:

    • While the donuts are still warm, dip them into the glaze or drizzle the glaze on top.
    • Add toppings like sprinkles or cinnamon sugar, if desired.
  6. Serve:

    • Let the glaze set for a few minutes, then enjoy your delicious air fryer donuts!

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • You can also coat the donuts in cinnamon sugar instead of glaze by mixing 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon.
