For the Donuts:
- 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Toppings:
- Sprinkles, chocolate chips, or cinnamon sugar
Instructions
-
Prepare the Donuts:
- Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
- Use a small round cutter (or the cap of a bottle) to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit to form a donut shape. Save the holes to make donut holes!
-
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
-
Air Fry the Donuts:
- Lightly brush the donuts with melted butter on both sides.
- Arrange the donuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry at 350°F for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Repeat with the donut holes, cooking for 3-4 minutes.
-
Make the Glaze:
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or sugar as needed.
-
Glaze the Donuts:
- While the donuts are still warm, dip them into the glaze or drizzle the glaze on top.
- Add toppings like sprinkles or cinnamon sugar, if desired.
-
Serve:
- Let the glaze set for a few minutes, then enjoy your delicious air fryer donuts!
Notes
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- You can also coat the donuts in cinnamon sugar instead of glaze by mixing 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon.
