Description

Air Fryer Crab Bites are crispy, golden snacks packed with crab meat, cheese, and herbs — a quick and delicious appetizer or party treat made healthier in the air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, green onion, Old Bay, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and form into small bite-sized balls.
  3. Roll each ball in additional breadcrumbs to coat lightly.
  4. Place the crab bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  5. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through if needed.
  7. Serve warm with dipping sauce like tartar, spicy mayo, or aioli.

Notes

  • Use lump or claw crab meat — avoid imitation for best flavor.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before air frying — just add a couple extra minutes to cook time.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste or add hot sauce for more heat.
