- 8 oz lump crab meat
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, green onion, Old Bay, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and form into small bite-sized balls.
- Roll each ball in additional breadcrumbs to coat lightly.
- Place the crab bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
- Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through if needed.
- Serve warm with dipping sauce like tartar, spicy mayo, or aioli.
Notes
- Use lump or claw crab meat — avoid imitation for best flavor.
- Can be made ahead and frozen before air frying — just add a couple extra minutes to cook time.
- Adjust seasoning to taste or add hot sauce for more heat.
