Description

Air-fried potato wedges are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Made with just a few simple ingredients, these golden-brown wedges are a healthier alternative to deep-fried potatoes. Perfect as a side dish, snack, or appetizer, they pair well with any dipping sauce!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
For Serving (Optional):

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Ranch, ketchup, or aioli for dipping

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes, then cut them into even wedges (about 8 wedges per potato).
    • Soak in cold water for 20-30 minutes to remove excess starch (for extra crispiness).
    • Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
  • Season the Wedges:

    • In a large bowl, toss potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne (if using).
  • Air Fry the Wedges:

    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
    • Arrange wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
    • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

  • Garnish & Serve:

    • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley (if using).
    • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, increase cooking time by 2-3 minutes.
  • Love spicy wedges? Add extra cayenne or chili flakes.

  • Leftovers? Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 5 minutes to crisp them back up.
