These Air Fried Apple Wedges are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated with warm cinnamon sugar. Paired with a creamy caramel whipped cream dipping sauce, they’re a delicious fall-inspired treat or dessert that’s quick and easy to make!

For the Apple Wedges:

  • 4 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

For the Caramel Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  1. Prepare the Apple Wedges:

  • Core and slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
  • In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with melted butter until evenly coated.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
  • Add the cinnamon-sugar mixture to the apples, tossing until the wedges are evenly coated.
  1. Air Fry the Apple Wedges:

  • Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary).
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the apples are tender and the coating is golden.
  1. Make the Caramel Whipped Cream:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cold heavy cream, caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Whip the mixture with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  1. Serve:

  • Serve the warm apple wedges with a side of caramel whipped cream for dipping.

Notes

  • Add flavor: Drizzle a little more caramel sauce over the apple wedges before serving.
  • Make it vegan: Use plant-based butter and coconut whipped cream.
